A Kid's Place is a unique, state of the art, 60-bed facility for abused, neglected, or abandoned children.  Our children range from newborns to kids ready to age out of the foster care system at 18.  We've provided a home to over 850 children in our five years of operation and assisted over 370 families.  Located on five acres in Brandon, Florida A Kid’s Place has five 3,200 square foot homes on an expansive tree-lined campus that provide a safe, home-like environment in a neighborhood setting. We use a live-in house parent model which provides the children with consistent caregivers and family style living. Together with our community partners, A Kid's Place offers:

• On-site Therapy services

• Targeted Case Management to support children and their families

• On-site Dental services

• Educational Services

• On-site Pre-Kindergarten and Toddler Programs

We are often able to provide professional services to the children without transporting them off-site and we are the first residential facility in Hillsborough County to be able to provide this level of global servicing on-site. At A Kid's Place, our goal for each child is to provide an enriching experience that will instill hope, encourage growth, allow continued healing and provide a nurturing environment.  We strive to envelop these abused, neglected or abandoned kids with love as they navigate the foster care system.  Our goal is to be the bridge between their home of origin and the next best placement - whether that means reunification with family, a placement with relatives, or a foster home that's suited to the needs of the children.
